Whoa whoa whoa!!! What happened to the Lakers Superstar guard Kobe Bryant? I thought everything was good when he showed up during the media day at Hawaii that he was ready to play basketball and bring back the Championship to the Los Angeles Lakers. He pointed out his frustrations during summer that he wants out of the team by criticizing the organization and made some unwanted comments on his teammates specifically Andrew Bynum and then recalled it back by saying that he wants to retire as a Laker. Last week owner Dr. Jerry Buss said that he would listen to any trade offers to his peeved guard. As a result, “The Black Mamba” skipped practice for the third time saying that he wants to rest his tiring legs and believed that he cleaned out his locker. We can understand that Kobe is not getting any younger, that he played during the summer at the FIBA Americas to help lift TEAM USA to clinch a spot at the Beijing Olympics in China next year. In addition, he had a five-day Asia Tour dubbed as the Kobe Supernatural Tour, which I am fortunate enough to see KB24 live at the Philsports Arena. But going back, you can say that he was diverting the issues going through his mind that when he returns, people will ask the same questions. Now that we know that the continuing feud between him and the management will not be resolve anymore. What’s in store for Kobe? Will he be traded before the season starts? Will he still play for the LA Lakers? These questions will be answered…. SOON!!!

“KB24 here in Manila showing his stuff”
What if Kobe is traded to either Chicago Bulls or Dallas Mavericks? Kobe prefers the later as target team to land. So who will Dallas Mavericks and Mark Cuban team will trade for the player on the planet right now. If you asked me, I’ll trade Dirk Nowitzki straight up, no more questions plain and simple. Yes Yes we know Dirk is the reigning Most Valuable Player but if you’re going to trade him to the BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER in the World right now, why not? Besides, many critics doubts the leadership of Dirk and he is still recovering from a major upset that his team suffered during the playoffs losing 4-2 to the 8th seeded Golden State Warriors. Another option, Josh Howard, Jerry Stackhouse, DeSagana Diop and future round picks plus cash consideration to match Kobe $80 plus million salary. So the starting lineup for Dallas will be Jason Terry, Trenton Hassell, Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and Erik Dampier. This is a formidable team that can go all the way. For the Chicago Bulls scenario, which I think will likely to happen, Bulls will give up Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Andres Nocioni and future 1st round draft pick. Then Kobe will wear number 23 together with his cast of Ben Wallace, Joe Smith, Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich. I am just assuming that Paxson, the General Manager of Bulls will pull out this deal. This is a new era for the windy city of Chicago and NBA, the power house teams will still be in the Western Conference, we all know that teams in the East like Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons can compete better.
Can’t wait any longer to see “Black Mamba” change his uniform and play with a better team… a playoff caliber team that will go on to win the most coveted prize in the NBA.
