Do I need to say more what the Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant has done this 2007-2008 NBA Season?
Kobe Bryant is the best baller in the planet right now, throw all you criticisms about him being a selfish, peeved player who cursed the management and fellow teammate Andrew Bynum and demanded to trade him last summer if he will not get any decent teammates that will help the Lakers to win another NBA Championship.
The result.
The LA Management listened to Kobe and pulled of one of NBA’s unreasonable trade in recent history disposing Kwame Brown, who was a number 1 pick and rookie Javaris Crittenton for a seven footer Spaniard Pau Gasol from Memphis Grizzlies.
Kobe “Black Mamba” Bryant, a three time champ should win the MVP Honors this season, this is his time, actually Kobe should have won it already at least twice, he has been the best player for the past five years no offense to Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Lebron James and other NBA Superstars. His other competitors in the MVP Race are New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul, Cleveland Cavaliers’ Lebron James and probably throw in Phoenix Suns’ Amare Stoudemire. But this will be just down to two with Paul being the second on the list. As of this writing, the Los Angeles Lakers are the second seed next to New Orleans Hornets in the very tough Western Conference. Kobe does not need to prove anything; he is a champion, a scorer, and a born leader. Kobe has led his team without there two seven footers Bynum and Gasol, Bynum was sidelined since mid of January while Gasol came in after the trade deadline in February and still the Lakers are among the leagues best.
His teammates have flourished with the likes of Sasha Vujacic, Jordam Farmar, Vladimir Radmanovic and his sidekick Lamar Odom. All players are averaging career highs in minutes played and points per game, and not to mention the confidence Kobe has given to his teammates so that when playoff time comes the Lakers will make it to the 2008 NBA Finals.
KB24 will be my Most Valuable Player this season.
