Dinner @ Hula Hula

* i am not a real food blogger, so bare with my descriptions of the foods that we ordered*

After browsing a number of pinoy food blogs, Kat and I decided to pig out and have a taste of sumptuous foods at Hula Hula Seafood and Barbeque House in Shangri-la.

The restaurant was a bit popular for some pinoy blogs with a good recommendation on their service, value for money and most especially the food.

Hula Hula resto will greet you with their staff dressed in a Hawaiian themed uniform, a cozy place one would surely enjoy. Hula Hula offers an wide array of Seafoods and Barbecue for groups or individuals or just simply with your special someone.

We ordered for our appetizer is their twin tower onion rings and calamari served with mayo and a sweet n’ sour sauce for the dip.

Twin Towers of Onion Rings and Calamari

I can say that the onion rings were just a typical onion rings, but the calamari it was “delicioso”.

For our main course, Kat tried for the “Mess of a Chicken”, a combination of chicken wings, macaroni salad and meatballs. The chicken was mouth-watering maybe because of the rich thick sauce over it. The macaroni salad was overflowing with mayo (watch out the Diet) but it tasted nice. The meatballs were amazing, try it for yourself so you will know what I mean.

While I ordered for pork barbeque combined with spicy chili beans and some vegetables. I was ecstatic when I saw the barbeque, it was a large piece of sweet and meaty pork. No need to apply much pressure taking off of the bbq. For some reason, I did not like the chili beans but the veggies were good.

Overall, we enjoyed the food, service and value for money. These foods only cost us around P700. (including the VAT)

I recommend this place Hula Hula Seafood and Barbeque House located Ground Floor, Shangri-la, Mandaluyong City (Near Fish n Co.)
