“When it Rains, It Pours”

16 10 2008

I haven’t updated my blog for almost two months and now I have ample time to share all the good and bad things that are happening to me, to my family and of course to my son Kobe. Well most of them are blessings from the Lord Almighty and I am so grateful for everything that he has given and will give to me.

Family Bonding

26 08 2008

Another busy long weekend for my family. We started Saturday a bit late, went to the hospital around 10 am for the monthly check-up of baby TK. We’re really thankful that Kobe was right on schedule for his vaccines and that he’s growing really fast, actually he is overweight at his age of 6 months, 7kilos to be exact. We then moved to another specialist, this time to Darling’s OB-Gyne to consult regarding the cervical cancer vaccine that she needs, well most women needs to have this vaccine according to her OB. Then it was my turn, waited for the surgeon until 2 in the afternoon but to no avail. The surgeon was not coming and next schedule will be again two weeks from now. Sorry for me. The surgeon will just have to check some kind of cyst at my butt. Hehehe

Then where off to Megamall, of course this has been a default for us to always go to the baby’s section just to see new things, clothes, toys and other baby stuff. But now we have a good reason to go there since we bought new pair of shorts for my little cute tot.

Also bought Quickly’s Super Taro Ice, oh yes! I loved this flavored ice with pudding, taro and nata.

Went home, sleep for couple of hours and played basketball. Yes, I can still play though I admit I have a big tummy, a size just like a 3-month old preggy woman. Not really funny. hahahaha

After playing, bought some isaw, tenga and barbeque to have some rhum-cola session while watching the film “The Happening” starring Mark Whalberg.

Sunday, went to Tiendesitas to hear mass and celebrated Kobe’s 6th month birthday. Another great bonding moment for us, no words can describe my feelings I have right now with my loving partner and cute little boy.

Later in the afternoon, went to my cousin’s 7th birthday bash. Of course, got full again for the great food served at the party, I went eat and run to watch the Gold Medal basketball game between USA and Spain, which obviously the USA won but credit Spain for their gutsy effort.

Cruising the Pasig River

5 08 2008

If you’re looking for an alternative in your mode of transportation going to and from work Pasig River Ferry Service (PRFS) should be on top of your list.

In Darling’s case, she wanted to find another option going to her office, which is located in Pandacan, Manila. As Darling and I traversed the historic Pasig River last Tuesday morning, we were amazed with this “Luxury” Ferry that we tried.

What to see and expect in this Pasig Ferry bound to Intramuros and vice versa:

- around 150 passengers capacity with Life Jacket (take note: Life Jacket) hehe

- tickets cost P25, P35 and P45 depends on trip that you purchased

- Air-conditioned with good alternative sounds. Music that were played during our trip

- From Pasig to Intramuros will take at leat 50 minutes to an hour depending on the traffic in the river. Just kidding, there is no traffic here.

- Pasig Ferry schedules start at 5:30 am at Kalawaan, Pasig, first trip and end at 9:30pm. 30 minute interval between departures.

I can recommend this Pasig Ferry to commuters like students whose schools are in the area of Manila college/university schools such as PUP, Feati University, and Philippine College Of Criminology. Government Employees like BIR, Bureau of Customs and others that I did not mention. Also, you can use this Pasig Ferry when you plan to go to Divisoria or Tutuban.

Although our trip was not beneficial for us since we made a mistake dropping off at the wrong station, we had to take two more jeepney rides before she could go to work. But overall, we were satisfied with our trip.
